S&P Asian Indices measure the equity markets of India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore. The S&P Asian Indices include a suite of widely recognized indices:

  • S&P Japanese Indices are universally recognized as Japan's premier market indicators and are derived from a universe of eligible companies listed on the Tokyo, Osaka or JASDAQ stock exchanges. Developed in collaboration with the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the S&P/TOPIX 150 is an equity index covering approximately 70% of the Japanese investable markets.
  • S&P Asia 50 is a headline index drawn from four major Asian markets – Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan;
  • S&P/CITIC indices provide a complete product suite for exposure to Chinese companies and the Chinese markets. The indices are co-developed by Standard & Poor’s and CITIC Securities Co. Ltd. and are maintained by the joint venture company S&P/CITIC Index Information Services Ltd;
  • S&P/KRX Indices are designed, developed and owned by Standard & Poor’s, and calculated, maintained and distributed by the Korea Exchange.
  • S&P/HKEx indices represent approximately 75% of Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK) GEM Board by market capitalization
  • S&P CNX Nifty is a headline index on the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE).
