S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries represents the small cap universe for Australia, comprised of all members of the S&P/ASX 300 excluding those in S&P/ASX 100. Index constituents are drawn from eligible companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries is a component of the Australian indices that could be used as building blocks for portfolio construction.

Index constituents exhibit the following characteristics:

• Weighting – Market capitalization
• Public Float – Adjusted for available shares

Index Governance and Policy
This index is maintained by the S&P Australian Index Committee, comprised of five members representing both the Australian Stock Exchange and Standard & Poor's. They follow a set of published guidelines and policies that provide the transparent methodologies used to maintain the indices.
