A director in Standard and Poor's Financial Services Ratings Group, Kevin Ahern is responsible for the analysis of 10 of the largest life insurance groups in the U.S. Kevin has co-authored Standard & Poor's semi-annual Domestic Life Insurance Industry Outlook for the past three years. He has also lead the life insurance segment in analyzing and publishing Standard & Poor's views on the individual annuity marketplace. Kevin has been analyzing life insurance companies for Standard & Poor's since 1997. Prior to joining S&P, Kevin was an analyst at A.M. Best Company where he analyzed and managed a portfolio of life insurance companies in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to that, Kevin spent several years at The Prudential, where he handled various financial management functions specializing in variable products.

A director in Standard & Poor's Financial Services Ratings Group, Rodney Clark is responsible for the analysis of 25 life insurance companies in the US. He also leads the life insurance team in analyzing and publishing Standard & Poor's views on the individual life insurance and life reinsurance sectors. Prior to joining Standard & Poor's in 2000, Rodney's experience in the life insurance industry spanned more than ten years. He held several positions with Prudential, where he was actively involved in financial modeling, asset liability management, financial reporting, and product development. He also worked with Aon Re Worldwide in their life reinsurance broking operation, where he focused on the continental European market. Rodney is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
