The S&P Dividend Opportunities Indices which include the S&P Global Dividend Opportunities Index and the S&P International Dividend Opportunities Index, are designed to serve as benchmarks for global income seeking investors. The indices seek to provide exposure to 100 high yielding common stocks from around the world while meeting diversification, stability and tradability requirements.
Index constituents exhibit the following characteristics:
Universe – All dividend paying common stocks and American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) listed on eligible exchanges around the world
Market Capitalization – Minimum of US$ 1.5 billion
Value Traded – Minimum three-month average daily value traded of US$ 5 million
Weighting – Yield driven
Index Governance and Policy
This index is maintained by the S&P Index Committee, whose members include Standard & Poor's economists and index analysts. It follows a set of published guidelines and policies that provide the transparent methodologies used to maintain the index.
