S&P ASIA 50


S&P Asia 50 represents four major economic sectors of Asia equity markets. It includes highly liquid securities from Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore. This index serves to cover the large-cap liquid constituents of each key country in Asia. It is also the Asia component of S&P Global 1200.

Index constituents exhibit the following characteristics:
  • Market Coverage – Approximately 70% of each country’s market capitalization
  • Weighting – Market capitalization
  • Public Float – Adjusted to regional specifications
Index Governance and Policy
This index is maintained by the S&P Index Committee, whose members include Standard & Poor's economists and index analysts. It follows a set of published guidelines and policies that provide the transparent methodologies used to maintain the index.
