S&P/CITIC SmallCap covers the smallest and most liquid stocks of the broad market performance of China's A-Shares universe defined. The S&P/CITIC SmallCap index consists of 300 small cap stocks that are not members of the S&P/CITIC 300 index. It is a component of the S&P/CITIC index series, and it completes the series’ investable size representation.

Weighting – Market capitalization
Reconstitution – Bi-annually in June and December
Index Governance and Policy
This index is maintained by the S&P/CITIC Index Committee, comprised of five members representing both CITIC Securities and Standard & Poor's. Committee oversight gives investors the benefit of Standard & Poor's depth of experience, research and analytic capabilities, combined with CITIC Securities' intimate local industry knowledge. It follows a set of published guidelines and policies that provide the transparent methodologies used to maintain the index.
