Overview Index News

The S&P Indian Rupee Index seeks to replicate the performance of the Indian Rupee versus the U.S. Dollar. The index provides global investors with exposure to an emerging economic superpower that currently lacks a liquid currency futures market.

The index is a member of the S&P Currency Beta Series which provides exposure to single currencies or groups of currencies.

Index Governance and Policy
The index is the responsibility of the S&P Currency Beta Series Index Committee that monitors overall policy guidelines and methodologies for the S&P Indian Rupee index. Index membership and maintenance is conducted according to a set of published rules.

  • September 26, 2008
  • December 31, 2008

    Rebalancings occur on the dates above at 4:00 PM Singapore time. The close of the index on the prior trading date is determined at this time and the index then rolls into the next forward contract.
