Based upon Standard & Poor’s world renowned, independent equity research and proprietary stock ranking system, STARS (STock Appreciation Ranking System), S&P offers three sets of rules-based S&P All STARS Baskets, focusing on high growth potential stocks in the US, Europe and Asia.
STARS is a propriety Standard & Poor’s stock ranking system that has existed since 1987 for U.S. stocks and since 2002 for European and Asian Stocks. It is an analyst-derived, qualitative evaluation and based on an analyst’s determination of the future appreciation potential of a specific common stock relative to its relevant S&P benchmark index given a 12-month time horizon.
The S&P All STARS Baskets are available in three sets:

- S&P All STARS Asia Basket
Index Governance and Policy
This index is maintained by the S&P Index Committee, whose members include Standard & Poor's economists and index analysts. It follows a set of published guidelines and policies that provide the transparent methodologies used to maintain the index.
