S&P India 10

Overview Index News

The S&P India 10 index is comprised of 10 leading Indian companies trading on developed market exchanges. The index is designed to provide investors with tradable exposure to the Indian equity market. Companies must be a member of the S&P/IFCI India index.

Constituent weights are driven by liquidity. An evolutionary algorithm driven optimization is used to maximize index basket liquidity at each rebalancing.

Index constituents exhibit the following characteristics:

  • Market Capitalization - At least US$ 500 million
  • Liquidity - Six month average daily volume of at least US$ 1 million
  • Reconstitution - Annual
  • Listing Venues - The Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the London Stock Exchange, NASDAQ or the NYSE

Index Governance and Policy
This index is maintained by the S&P Index Committee, whose members include Standard & Poor's economists and index analysts. It follows a set of published guidelines and policies that provide the transparent methodologies used to maintain the index.
