Halliburton Co. (HAL) in S&P 500 Index

Halliburton has extended its offer to exchange HAL shares for shares of KBR Inc. (KBRwi) until midnight, New York time, on Monday, April 2, 2007. As a result, KBR Inc. will replace Newport Corp. (NEWP) in the S&P MidCap 400, and Newport Corp. will replace Lenox Group Inc. (LNX) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Tuesday, April 3, 2007.
