Standard & Poor's Clarifies Q1 2008 Rebalancing Date Due to Good Friday Holiday-Update

Publication Date:    Jan 07, 2008 10:00 EST
Standard & Poor’s normally rebalances its domestic indices on the third Friday in March. In 2008, the third Friday (March 21st) falls on the Good Friday holiday. Several exchanges and markets observe Good Friday and do not trade on that date. Therefore, the rebalancing of the S&P domestic indices will be done after the close of trading on Thursday, March 20th.
