Arthur joined Standard & Poor’s in 1988 and has held
a number of positions within Standard & Poor’s Credit Market Services
Division. As a Director and team leader in the Utilities, Energy and Project
Finance Ratings group, he is responsible for a team of analysts that rates investor owned utilities, developers, oil & gas companies and project finance ratings worldwide.
With over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, Arthur is one of the principal
contacts for Standard & Poor’s project finance activities. Prior to becoming a team leader, he was a project finance analyst focusing on the private
power, industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical and mining sectors as well as having primary rating analyst duties for investor owned utilities. Mr. Simonson holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Scranton and an MBA from the PACE University in New York City.
