A director in Standard & Poor's Public Finance Ratings Group, Peter Murphy focuses primarily on utility revenue bonds and general obligations of U.S. issuers. Currently, he is the public power sector spokesperson for the State and Local Government group. Prior to joining Standard & Poor's in 1993, Peter spent four years in the corporate trust department of Morgan Guaranty Trust Company.
