The S&P Global Gold Index is a benchmark for global gold portfolios. The index consists of securities classified under the GICSĀ® Gold sub-industry which includes both producers of gold and related products, as well as companies that mine or process gold and the South African finance houses that primarily invest in, but do not operate, gold mines.
