アプリケーション・コンサルタントは、セールスチームに販売前後の支援を提供することで、アジアにおける収益増加そして維持をサポートします。具体的には、技術上およびその他の問題対応、トレーニングを顧客先、または遠隔操作で提供、顧客に合った新製品の開発や収益増加の機会を積極的に開拓することなどです。また、顧客先への訪問、書面や電話によるサポートも行います。特に、スタンダード＆プアーズ・金融データ分析（FD&A）の製品活用の分野では、顧客が製品の価値と恩恵を最大限受けられるよう注力しています。FD&Aのその他の分野でも販売機会を特定し、販売につなげています。
職務内容
- 製品のスペシャリストとして、新規および既存顧客に製品のデモストレーションやインストール、テンプレート構築、トレーニング、サポートなどを提供することで、収益に貢献する。
- FD&Aの全製品について、顧客先でのインストールを担当する。ハードウェアの接続・設定やソフトウェアのインストールなどを行い、オペレーティングおよびネットワーク・ソフトウェアがFD&A製品とともに適切に稼働するようにする。必要に応じて、顧客のテクニカルサポートスタッフと連絡をとる。
- FD&Aの全製品について、顧客にトレーニングとサポートを継続的に提供する。各顧客に固有のデータやアプリケーションのニーズを満たし、FD&A製品の価値を最大限受けられるようにし、顧客が将来にわたってスタンダード＆プアーズの製品を利用し続ける可能性を高める。
- スタンダード＆プアーズと顧客の連絡窓口、そして主要な情報源としての役割を担う。具体的には、顧客のアプリケーションや、ハードウェア、ソフトウェア、ネットワークの設定の詳細、顧客連絡先などの情報を入手し管理する。今後のビジネスチャンスに向けて、成功した点・不足している点を把握するため、設定やサポートの記録を残す。アプリケーション・コンサルタントの活動は売り上げを意識したものでなければならない。つまり、アプリケーション・コンサルタントが顧客の連絡窓口であり、顧客を定期的に訪問し、面談することで、顧客の人事やデータ、アプリケーション、テクノロジー、今後のニーズを把握し、評価する。
- 重要な情報を収集し、社内で連絡を取り合い、収益の増加と維持に貢献する機会を特定する。製品のニーズに関して製品部門、データチーム、その他関係部門にフィードバックする。
資格・スキル
- すべてのClariFI製品の特性を顧客候補にデモストレーションする能力
- 業界先端の金融データとデリバリープラットフォームに関する深い知識
- 高い数学力と分析能力
- 財務、会計、経済など、数学の基礎知識を必要とする分野での学位取得者、または同等の経験のある者。証券アナリスト資格取得者または取得予定はなお可。十分な基礎知識を習得していることが必要
- バックテストなどのクオンツ分析に精通
- Compustat、あるいは同様の金融データベースおよびソフトウェア・アプリケーションに関する知識
- パーソナルコンピュータ診断ハードウェア・ソフトウェア、ソフトウェア（エクセル、VBA、SQL）、リレーショナル・データベースについて、正式なトレーニングを受けているか、経験があること。サポートに必要な技術も必要
- 高いコミュニケーション能力、トレーニング・分析技術が必須。金融サービス市場で使われているコンピュータのハードウェア、ソフトウェアとネットワークの設定、およびこれらのあらゆる機能に関する問題を解決するための十分な知識または経験も必須条件

Applications Consultant – Asia
Description:
This position supports revenue growth and retention within Asia by providing the sales team pre and post sale support, including taking ownership of all technical and other issues that arise, providing onsite and remote client training, and proactively exploring new product and revenue opportunities within each client. This also includes providing on-site, written or phone product support for clients, specifically in the area of S&P Financial Data and Analytics (FD&A) product utilization, ensuring that the client receives maximum value and benefit. Identify and refer sales opportunities for other FD&A products.
Accountabilities:
- Act as a product specialist and assist sales by performing product demonstrations, installations, template-building, training and support to new and prospective clients.
- Install all FD&A products at client sites, including connecting/configuring hardware, installing/configuring software, ensuring that client operating and network software is properly configured to function with FD&A products and interfacing with client technical support staff as needed.
- Provide continuous training and support to clients in the use of all FD&A products, ensuring that their specific data and application needs are addressed and that they receive maximum value from their use of those products, increasing the likelihood that they will retain their S&P subscription in future years.
- Serve as a primary contact, and thus primary information source, between S&P and the clients. This entails obtaining and organizing information about their application, their hardware/software/network configuration, developing client contacts, and keeping records of installation and support activities to ensure that a knowledge base of success/shortfall is maintained as a resource for future activities. Activities should be sales-oriented in the sense that the Applications Consultant is the point person for client contact, visiting the client on-site on a regular basis and having the opportunity to assess, face to face, the client's personnel, data, application, technology and future needs.
- Gather intelligence and communicate internally to identify opportunities to contribute to revenue retention and growth. Present feedback on product needs to Product Development, data teams, and other relevant departments.
Qualifications:
- Ability to demonstrate all ClariFI product features to a prospective clients
- Deep familiarity with industry-leading financial data and delivery platforms
- High-level math and analytical capabilities
- Degree in a numerate discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience is required. CFA charterholder/candidate a plus. A strong understanding of fundamental data is necessary.
- Understanding of quantitative techniques such as backtesting.
- Knowledge of Compustat or similar financial databases and software applications.
- Formal training and/or experience in personal computer diagnostics, hardware/software operations, software (Excel, VBA, SQL), relational databases, and support techniques is also necessary.
- Excellent communications, training and analytical skills are required, as well as a thorough knowledge of and several years experience with installing and problem solving all aspects of computer hardware, software and networks used in the financial services marketplace.
- Team player willing to take on a wide variety of tasks.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Fluent in Japanese/ English
