S&P 500 50th Anniversary


On June 20, 2007, Terry McGraw, Chairman, President and CEO, The McGraw-Hill Companies and Kathleen Corbet, President, Standard & Poor's hosted a symposium on "The Future of Index Investing," in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the S&P 500 Index.

Symposium panelists included David Blitzer, Managing Director & Chairman of the S&P Index Committee; John Bogle, Founder, The Vanguard Group, Inc.; Kathleen Moriarty, Partner, Katten Muchin Rosenman, LLP; Floyd Norris, Chief Financial Correspondent, The New York Times and Robert Shiller, Chief Economist, MacroMarkets, LLC & Professor of Economics, Yale University. The panel was moderated by Jim Wiandt, Editor, The Journal of Indexes.
